DIESEL ENGINE OIL

Description of Diesel Engine Oil

Diesel engine oil (also known as diesel motor oil or heavy-duty engine oil) is a specialized lubricant formulated for diesel engines used in trucks, buses, construction equipment, generators, marine vessels, and some passenger vehicles (e.g., diesel pickup trucks).

Unlike gasoline engine oils, diesel engine oils are designed to handle higher compression ratios, greater thermal stress, higher soot loads, and longer oil change intervals typical in diesel operation.
